Spoiled Brats

Gérard Jugnot is such a French classic of the current gentle French comedy. Where he is, things usually go quite well. And even the pampered brats are not too bad. The theme is clichéd, but it's nice to watch. Even though the film doesn't offer very funny and imaginative scenes. It's just right for three stars. (12/10/2021)

More of a fun movie than a gag-filled ride, but I enjoyed it. It's got a decent and novel plot about three spoiled siblings who are enjoying their dream life. Their father is about to teach them a lesson and hatches a plan to make them lose all their money so that they can take on the roles of ordinary people. The characters are likeable and some scenes are very cool (the priest and the unemployment office!), it has a fine moral lesson and oozes feel-good atmosphere throughout. Not a big hit, but perfect for a boring evening. 7/10. (03/13/2022)
