English Melissa McCarthy's humor has had its moments, like in Spy—but that was largely thanks to her dynamic with Jason Statham, who ended up delivering one of the best roles of his career. However, when she teams up with her usual director, it tends to result in a lot of over-the-top antics, occasional awkwardness, and general chaos, which seem to be staples of her films. I did laugh, I won’t lie, but it’s not something I’d watch again. As for Jason Bateman, this might be the most cringe-worthy role of his career. I’m sure they had a blast filming it, but honestly, why do we have to suffer through these kinds of movies? ()

English Extremely tasteless superhero comedy, but if you're willing or able to tune in to its very awkward style of humour, it works to some extent. After all, both of the actresses in the main roles are pretty talented, so they can deliver the jokes in a functional way, although the whole thing is bordering on idiocy. ()

English A weak attempt at a comedy that wants to benefit from humor only because the main characters do not look like typical superheroes, but it even fails at that. I wondered how much better it could have been if the screenwriter (and the director in one) hadn't given Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer the powers, but instead to the girls who played their younger selves and who were literally great compared to everything that came later.
