Sam (2017)

English The film has a very simple premise about a guy who's a jerk transforming into a woman to understand how he treated women and what it's actually like to be a woman. The plot is fairly normal, but then there's a very peculiar relationship that develops. If it weren't approached as a typical romance but as a bizarre comedy, it would be much more interesting.

My Bakery in Brooklyn (2016)

English A pleasant romantic film about two cousins who can't agree on how to run their bakery together after their aunt's death, especially when they might lose the bakery altogether. Plus, there's romance and some interesting characters that can be quite amusing at times, but otherwise, nothing groundbreaking.

Mechanic: Resurrection (2016)

English A fairly standard action movie that you'll enjoy, especially if you're a fan of action films and Jason Statham. It's a relatively solid job, but you get the feeling that it's heavily inspired by Mission: Impossible and similar films, which is a shame. But the pool scene is very good. And when Jason hits someone, it hurts.

Howard Lovecraft & the Frozen Kingdom (2016)

English I didn't really believe in the movie; after all, making something based on Lovecraft or inspired by him and aiming it at kids isn't exactly a good idea because it takes away a lot from Lovecraft. The animation isn't anything great, but in the end, I quite enjoyed the movie, although hoping that this will attract kids to Lovecraft is probably out of the question.

In Your Dreams (2016)

English A classic Czech film. It tries to tackle a more serious topic here, which in this case is connected to psychology, but it ultimately turns into just a simple modern romance, trying to be spiced up at times as if it's on LSD. And on top of that, a bit of modern parkour. But where there's nothing, there's really nothing.

Ninja Knight 3: Heaven's Hell (1987)

English A classic bad action movie, which has enough action scenes, fairly tolerable characters, rough violence, all of this is in a somewhat decent jumble that actually works. Sure, it's a quickie, but somehow I'm into these B-movie quickies and at least the average deserves it from me.

Necromancy (1972)

English In the end, Rosemary's Disciples is just one big horror cliché that doesn't contain anything original, and nothing scary either. Orson Welles is supposed to be an interesting figure here, and occasionally he manages to stir up the boredom with his acting, but the film lacks the strength or potential for such a strong character to elevate it. Simply put, even he gets lost in this movie, so there's nothing that would really grab you.

Florence Foster Jenkins (2016)

English I'm probably influenced in this case by having seen the play first at the theater, where it seemed absolutely fantastic to me. Definitely one of the best plays of the South Bohemian Theater. Meryl Streep is captivating once again, Hugh Grant is aging but still good, Simon has shed his TV role and they do well, but the film is just ordinary.

The Beatles: Eight Days a Week - The Touring Years (2016)

English When something even remotely hints at The Beatles, I'm extremely curious about it. And that's why I had to watch the movie The Beatles: Eight Days a Week - The Touring Years, which is a brief diary of their tours. Ron Howard doesn't bring anything new, but simply seeing those familiar faces, my beloved band, is a great experience. So yes, I'm subjective, but only because I adore them.

Old 37 (2015)

English It would be nice to at least say that "Old 37" is a case of decent craftsmanship, but it's not. Here it's just playing on the fact that there are a few moderately appealing scenes, especially during the traffic accidents where you'll feel like you're in a bloodbath, but okay, exaggeration is fine. However, overall, the storyline is terribly banal, and it's just about steering the young towards massacre. Nothing new, nothing interesting, just old tracks that are already quite rusty.
