The Pagan Madonna

From the museum of the Tihany Abbey, unknown criminals steal the golden Pagan Madonna, a statue of Greek origin. Dr. Kardos starts investigating the case with Ötvös Csöpi, the policeman just being reduced to a lower rank, as he still is his most talented detective. It is high season at Lake Balaton and a sailing competition is on. The case seems to be connected with the competition. Eventually, in spite of Dr. Kardos's blunders, following a series of pursuits on water, land and in the air, Ötvös Csöpi - with the contributions of Bence, grandson of the ice-cream man, - identifies the thieves.
