A Danish "fairy tale" with a dark twist. Think more creepy, bloody, and brutal, with a lot less of that childlike wonder — though in today’s world, it's hard to say who the target audience really is. Still, I found it pretty enjoyable. With six episodes, each about 25 minutes long, it’s a fun watch for an evening if you’re into Scandinavian mythology... and a bit of brutality. ()
What an incredibly stupid girl! If those cute little forest sprites would explicitly burrow into entrails, it would be a spectator's delight that is rarely experienced. It starts almost like a kid's Christmas fantasy, ends almost like a full-blown horror movie. Potential but untapped, I'll always recommend The Hallow. ()
