English A generic teen-comedy that is filled to the brim with cringe, and blatantly and without any pretense serves a below-average story about two unpopular friends, one of whom accidentally dies after a party and gets stuck somewhere between the world of the living and the dead. It's a B-movie, the characters are classic archetypes, and the story is occasionally entertaining, but far more often evokes feelings of shame and awkwardness in the sense of "what on earth was I looking at?". Actually, I'd say is almost identical in style to a 10 year old Disney channel series, but I have no idea what it's doing on Netflix. The directing duo have made a bunch of comedy series in the past that have reaped far greater success, this is pretty much trash by comparison, good at most for entertaining teenage girls and fulfilling modern film criteria for depicting individuals of all nationalities, skin colors and sexual orientations.
