Hra na vraha

This film is truly beneficial mainly in the sense that the Czechs wanted to have a horror movie killer. But despite its relatively short runtime, the film fails to inspire either fear of what we see or fear for the characters. There are so few horror moments, and there's a complete lack of gore, which you would expect to see at least in one blood-splattering scene. I'm quite curious if this will one day be remembered as the beginning of an extensive series. That would probably be its greatest contribution because the film laid the foundation for a certain mythology. (01/26/2015)
