English All Hallow's Eve is just another example of the fact that horror is very stale and that films like this only help that. No one is trying too hard for an original idea, they're just combining elements that have worked before - the clown, Halloween, the videotape, the characters coming out of the film and into reality, i.e., The Night of the Living Dead. The bottom line is that the bad acting, while not completely terrible, only confirms the fact that good horror movies are simply few and far between and you have to look long and hard to find them.
