English The beginning without powers was very entertaining and also suspenseful, the part after gaining them was less so, but still good, but the closer it got to the end, the more I stopped caring about Lucy. At least the film went by quickly, I wasn't too bored and I didn't need even 5% of my brain capacity to watch it. ()

English Blatant guilty pleasure! I think that Besson saw Space Odyssey and wanted to shoot something similar, but in his own way and on an earthly scale. The result is a total mishmash from hands of an over-keen geek mistaking this thing for that, who cares about reality... But the entertainment factor is on maximum and Morgan Freeman’s gibberish about the capacity of the brain blends together with neat action scenes where anything is possible (The Matrix gone crazy) and planets that explode. They’ve even got dinosaurs! Awful claptrap that I wouldn’t hesitate putting on again sometime. Scarlett looks great of course and manages the acting fairly well. New Age Fifth Element. ()

English Lucy is the guilty pleasure of the year. Luc Besson once again confirms his directorial and screenwriting qualities. This time he comes up with probably the most ambitious action film he's ever made. It's properly brisk, suspenseful, gritty, unapologetic, visually breathtaking and quite intelligent for an action film, I found all the theories very interesting, Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman are top notch, so thumbs up for me. Here at last I can utter my little used though very favourite phrase, it's fucking ride! Watching it also made me reminisce about my favourite action flick Kiss of the Dragon. 90% ()

English When you expect the female version of Taken and you get something between The Matrix, The Tree of Life, and Cloud Atlas, something is not right. The people behind this film let their imagination roam freely, the car scenes in Paris are VERY impressive, but that's where both the action and the overall script ends. The boldness is appreciated, and Scarlett Johansson tries her best, otherwise, it's a mess. ()

English How could a movie that tries to feed the audience such outrageous theories attempt to look so serious? And what was Luc Besson smoking when he wrote this? Scarlett Johansson made my eyes happy, but my brain got the medieval treatment. ()
