The atmosphere is still fantastic. The Gerhardt's trip to town brought a unique tension, keeping me on edge about whether someone would snap or everyone would keep their cool. I especially understood why Karl's pants were in such a state. It finally clicked why the creators sometimes reference UFOs — Blumquist and his wife behaved like aliens during their interaction with the police.
