The season finale was decent but didn't quite reach the heights of the previous episode. I was glad to see Clark return, but I was disappointed by the heavy-handed way the creators tried to convince us he's not such a bad guy — he's gay and adopted a child, after all! The open ending was expected, as I had no doubt there would be another season given the show's potential.
