A balladic story about a boy living in a secluded place in the woods. His father, an outlaw, was killed by the gendarmerie. The times of fun are over for Jerguš, a boy who absolutely adores nature, and he must start earning money. He works for a rich farmer and later he is employed in a nearby factory. Human cruelty and injustice provoke him into thoughtless act and he must flee the gendarmerie into the woods just like his father once did. (official distributor synopsis)
