English Clara can be compared to Mike Cahill's indie sci-fi films like Another Earth and I, Origins. They share a lot of similarities, but Clara uses sci-fi elements sparingly, focusing more on the emotional aspects. This makes it primarily a romantic drama that sometimes feels a bit heavy-handed. I enjoyed the first half a lot more; the second half lost some of its momentum, and the finale didn’t quite hit the mark for me. It’s not as good as Cahill’s films, but it’s still worth watching. ()

English There’s just one problem with this film – the fact that its style and plot premise are very reminiscent of four-year-older I Origins. Like, insanely close! It’s as if a different theme and different characters had been slipped into the same storyline template. Apart from that, Clara is basically a pleasant and easy-going introspective flick which appeals to the eye and is technically flawless. I guess it will quickly find an enthusiastic target audience.
