1915. Helene Schjerfbeck lives in the countryside with her elderly mother as a forgotten artist. It has been years since her last exhibition and Helene has continued to paint only for her own passion. Everything changes when an art dealer finds Helene and her 159 stunning paintings - and wants to organize a large solo exhibition. However, Helene’s momentous moment finally comes when she is introduced to Einar Reuter. Young Einar is a forester and an avid fan of Helene’s work as an art enthusiast.
