English A lumbering stumble through the ruins of a world masterfully built by Game of Thrones. It's an interesting paradox. House of the Dragon fails to properly grasp nine of the ten aspects that Game of Thrones mastered. The grim and mysterious line with Daemon is downright uninteresting and annoying, as is Alicent and most of the Kings Landing ensemble. Where are the excellent and well-acted figures that so graced the original series? Where is the excellent chemistry and the intricate story that is seemingly selflessly interwoven in and out? And if that is missing, where is the breathtaking action that the trailers promised? Out of this whole season, there is only one scene worth watching! The rest are just ramblings in padded sets with a thumping soundtrack and here and there some impressive appearance of one of the dragons. The first season was about negotiating and second should have been about doing. By all indicators, the creators are setting things up for several more seasons, but viewers may not be ready for that.
