Anna (Ann Eleonora Jørgensen) a newly ordained minister is married to Frank (Lars Ranthe). For years they've desperately being trying to have a baby. Anna gets a temporary job as prison chaplain in the women's wing. She meets Kate (Trine Dyrholm), an inmate, who is believed to possess supernatural powers.
