Infernal Affairs (2002)

English I found the Scorsese’s remake about four times more entertaining. This is pretty boring, stereotypical, uninteresting, no action, no blood. I didn't like it at all. 50%.

Clown (2014)

English Awesome!! A pure horror experience like there hasn't been in years! Chewed nails, sweaty ass, pop corn scattered all over the room, brown shorts, chewed up laptop cable and nonstop biting into the bed rail, I haven't been raped like this in a long time. The film kicks off from the first minute and pedals at 120% until the breathtaking finale, where I experienced the most disgusting sense of unease at the atmosphere that successfully accompanies the film. Also to be commended are the very original and unorthodox idea and the solid gore and make-up effects (the final transformation of the clown, as well as his voice, is butt-clenching). Peter Stormare and the mythology revolving around the clown is just a great icing on the cake, which in itself is very tasty. The decapitation of the dog will blow you away. P.S. They could have gone a little harder on the gore, but overwhelmingly the atmosphere wins out here, but still Fuck you Wyrmwood!

Mad Detective (2007)

English A very weird film. On the one hand, a very original plot supported by a great acting duo of Andy On and Sean Lau, who gives the ultimate acting performance and the way he investigates is very black-humored and seizure-inducing, but he is still just a schizophrenic lunatic. The downside is the mediocre direction and visuals and the rather very difficult clarity driven by flashbacks and characters who have actually died but still appear, they are not distinguished in any way so very confusing for me. The ending is pretty good, but it's not more than 4*.

Shinjuku Incident (2009)

English It's more of a thriller/drama, there's not much action and it wasn't really worth much, it wasn't the real Jackie Chan in his skin. But the story is engaging, interesting, it's all based on gang banging and backstabbing. Surprisingly, I had a good time. 75%

Deep Blue Sea (1999)

English Amazing film and I'm surprised I didn't get to it until today. Thomas Jane is probably cool in every movie and I love his acting; Samuel L. Jackson is a delight as well. The film is adrenaline-pumping and thrilling from start to finish, it features visually good and fine bloody action scenes and the sharks look unexpectedly very good for their time. It's quite astonishing that no one can make a shark horror film like this nowadays.

The Woman Knight of Mirror Lake (2011)

English A great historical-action film about China's first female revolutionary from the famous director of Ip Man: The Final Fight. Technically superb, the cinematography is very intense and slick in every shot, there is plenty of action both with swords and hands, it is gritty, spectacular, fast-paced and shocking. In the end, a guy takes it all in stride for a change and sets off an action-packed one vs hundreds inferno. I didn't breathe for 20 minutes. Great! 80%!

The Hybrid (2014)

English Those who like underground passages, bunkers, experimental laboratories and originality should be satisfied. I liked The Hybrid from the start. A bunch of soldiers are trying to enter Russian territory and find the strange experiments they are conducting. It all goes wrong and they gradually start to fall like flies. It's all decently shot, the villain is very original (half man-half alien), the film is even decently gory towards the end and even begs for a sequel. I had fun from beginning to end, these horror movies suit me, decent stuff. 65%

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)

English I put this film off for a long time, but now it is clear that it was in vain. Thanks to its perversity, sexual titillation and solid complexity, it quickly won me over. David Fincher clearly puts his directorial experience on display here as well, and despite his usual apparently favourite long running time, but he doesn't get boring and manages to shock and titillate in between. I would have shortened the finale by 20 minutes, then it would have been a 5*, but still unexpectedly very satisfied. 80%

Horrible Bosses 2 (2014)

English I laughed so hard! For me, a class above the first part. A funny and interesting script complemented by excellent one-liners and a great selection of my favourite stars. Chris Pine shines again here (he’s getting better, he was hilarious in Stretch), a great sex-obsessed Jennifer Aniston, and the horny mothers make this comedy a great cocktail. I also enjoyed the interesting twists and turns and especially my favorite Keegan-Michael Key. A pleasant surprise after a long time. 85%.

The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death (2014)

English I was expecting more scares and a heavier atmosphere to be honest. I only twitched twice, which is really very little for a commercial horror film, the only things I can praise are the dark visuals and the decent interiors of the dilapidated mansion, but still better than the commercial crap of last year. 55%.
